All trainings are provided by Christ-followers who adhere to baptistic theology and are consistent with the tenets expressed in the Baptist Faith and Message.

CROSS-CULTURAL MISSIONS:

    • We believe God’s heart is to see His name known and worshiped in every corner of the world.

    • We believe every follower of Jesus is qualified and expected to testify about Him to those whom God has placed in our sphere of influence.

    • We believe this means every follower of Jesus must cross cultural bridges at some point, so the Good News does not stay just with those people who are like us.

    •  We believe this means God’s Spirit is already at work among His people here in East Africa to call some out for ministry among the nations.

We desire to see African churches sending African missionaries to the ends of the earth. Let us come along beside you and share what we have learned over decades of experience working cross-culturally.

We are not a sending agency, nor can we fund your ministry.  But what we can do is to teach you to be a good learner of culture—how to ask the right questions, listen to and understand the answers, and learn how to bridge cultural divides for the sake of Jesus.

You will learn the necessity of abiding in Christ as you focus on each of the six components of the Missionary Task: entry, evangelism, discipleship, church planting, leadership development, and exit to partnership.

The training is open for men and women; pastors, church leaders, and church members – We all have a role to play!

MISSIONS SUMMIT (formerly Missions College)

Missions College is for both pastoral and lay leadership, including all active members who are passionate about seeing God glorified among the nations. Gather a team together from your congregation and come to the Lead Global training center for this 3-day conference to spend focused time studying a topic of your choice. There will be times of worship and fellowship, time for study, and team reflection about implementing God’s vision for your church.

Tracks include:

Eight Steps to Sending Missionaries Well – This track requires a minimum of five from your church: at least one pastor, a layperson, a young adult, a senior, and a woman. This track is required for any church wanting to send a missionary with the International Mission Board (IMB) Global Missionary Partner (GMP) program.

    • New Hope Trauma Healing – A Bible study based on the life of Joseph. Learn more about trauma, how to walk with the hurting, and work toward healing heart wounds. You will be equipped to engage people affected by trauma and even teach Trauma Healing to others.
    • Community Development– Specialists will train you to help communities identify needs, develop sustainable plans to address root causes to problems, and improve community situations. This training will help you minister to people impacted by disasters with compassion ministries.
    • Core Missionary Task 1 (Entry, Evangelism, Discipleship) – This training focuses on evangelism and discipleship. Learn the essential components of the Gospel message, ways to share it effectively in a cross-cultural context, and how to disciple those who are being saved.
    • Core Missionary Task 2 (Healthy Church) – This training describes what a healthy church looks like. EXPLORE THE BIBLE

The Bible can sometimes be difficult to read and understand. But there are some simple tools that can help you better hear what God is saying through His Word.

The fancy word for this is Hermeneutics…the art and science of proper interpretation of Biblical texts. Think of this as getting the right “glasses” you need to see the true meaning of Scripture more clearly. So join us for this one-day conference.

*You will learn about the different genres of Scripture, because historical passages should be read differently from poetry; the letters of the apostles, differently from prophecy

*You will learn to look at the verse within a passage, the passage within the chapter, and the chapter within the book because context matters

*You will learn to look at the author of the book and the speaker of the passage, to better evaluate whether we’re supposed to FOLLOW or FLEE from the example of the speaker

You will be better prepared to study the Bible during your personal time with God; better prepared to develop devotionals and Sunday School lessons; better prepared to “correctly handle the word of truth.” (2Tim 2:15)

All theology will align with the Baptist Faith and Message, 2000, accessible here: Baptist Faith and Message 2000 – The Baptist Faith and Message

EXPLORE THE CALL – A Missions Conference

What does the call to missions look like? What is the work of a missionary? What must the character of a missionary be?

We will answer these questions and more with an in-depth Bible Study. You will learn what God says about cross-cultural ministry and His expectation to get the Good News to all nations, tribes, people, and languages (Rev 7:9).

This is a free 1-day conference, with breakfast and lunch included. We will discuss the next steps to help you fulfill God’s call on your life if that call includes cross-cultural ministry.
